Looking ahead

Does it ever feel like you're always on the cusp of a new and improved direction? It's like a monthly New Year's resolution. Well, I have that New Year's resolution feeling today. Before this news update starts sounding like a blog...(did i mention i moved the blog to http://jordanbrooke.blogspot.com/....well, now i have) let me nip my urge to go into too much detail in the bud and just tell you the updates.

I uploaded the final covers for the two new Derek Webb records. On the heels of "Free Derek Webb", Derek's releasing "Zero One (remix)" and "Zero One (Acoustic)". A collection of songs from each of his solo records completely reinterpreted. Some acoustic or remix records....acoustic especially are so near to the record only maybe with just a guy and his guitar that it almost seems like a ploy to sell some records without having to do much. These little gems, however are as my very British friend says, "terribly interesting". The remix record takes a lot of existing sounds and tracks and....well, remixes them into really creative interpretations. And the acoustic record really reinvents the songs with some new arrangements and does some crazy things with the recording process that makes it it's own record and well worth the listen(s).
